BBQ sauce
Olive oil
Toppings: Cole slaw, diced onion, diced jalapeno, sliced cheese
Seasonings: Garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, etc.
Directions
- Preheat 350 degrees F.
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, using enough to just hang over the edge of the pan, you want enough to fold the foil over the chicken into a “packet” of sorts. Spread about a tablespoon or two of olive oil on the foil, then add thawed chicken breast to the sheet.
- Top chicken with a light dusting of desired seasonings. Pour 2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce over the chicken breast, it doesn’t have to be perfectly coated but do spread it around a bit.
- Wrap foil over chicken to seal everything in, creating a pouch.
- Bake chicken for 30-35 minutes, or until a thermometer reads 165 degrees F.
- Allow chicken breast to cool for 5 minutes, then move to a bowl to shred. Add in more BBQ sauce to your liking.
- Load buns with a heaping pile of BBQ pulled chicken and top with any of your favorite toppings such as coleslaw, sliced cheese, or diced veggies. Serve with your favorite sides!
